Between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the last century, Riccione began its successful growth as a famous tourist destination all over the world. The most beautiful Liberty villas built in those years are now museums and places of culture, while others have been transformed into luxury hotels.
Villa Mussolini: formerly Villa Margherita, had direct access to the beach.
It is located on the corner of the Republic's waterfront and via Giardini, near viale Ceccarini. It hosts exhibitions, concerts and cultural events. You can visit with free guided tour. (Tel. 0541 608285).
Villa Franceschi: built in 1900, today it is home to the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art with the permanent collections of Civic Art and the Arcangeli Collection. Admission is free but a free guided tour is offered one evening a week. It is located in via Gorizia 2. (Tel. 0541 693534)
Villa Lodi Fè: home of the DIG Journal Prize and Riccione Theater. His garden frequently hosts temporary events and exhibitions. It is located in Via delle Medaglie. Tel. 0541 608285
Grand Hotel, Hotel des Bains, Hotel de la Ville, Hotel Novecento: some of the villas have become hotels.
