HORSE IN MONTEFELTRO
The Sasso Simone e Simoncello Natural Park, of 4847 hectares, is located in the province of Pesaro-Urbino, on the border with the homonymous Nature Reserve of Tuscany that falls in the municipality of Sestino (AR).

It is included in the ancient territory of Montefeltro, it is 40 km from the Romagna coast (Rimini-Riccione). The landscape, hilly-mountainous, is characterized by the reliefs of the Sassi Simone and Simoncello, Monte di Carpegna and Monte Palazzolo with altitudes between 670 m asl and 1415 m asl Monte Carpegna, peak of the park and watershed between the Valle del Foglia and the Val Marecchia.

Riding Trails:

San Sisto - Sasso Simone:
the itinerary starts in San Sisto, a small village that is the fulcrum of the mycological production of Montefeltro and crosses wide prairies and the small relief of Monte Cassinelle reaches the Sasso Simone.

Miratoio - Sasso Simoncello:
through its characteristic stone houses of Miratoio, the path leads up to the Sasso Simoncello.

Ponte Cappuccini - Hermitage of the Madonna del Faggio - Monte Carpegna:
climb up through the Trabocchino Pass through the coniferous forest that covers the slopes of Mount Carpegna and bordering the Pietra Candella lake to reach Monte Carpegna.

Scavolino - Monte Carpegna:
from the ruins of the walls of the X century palace of Scavolino, you get to the Trabocchetto pass along wide lawns.

Pass of the Cantoniera - Sasso Simone:
the route crosses the Sasso cerreta, considered one of the largest in Europe with an extension of more than 800 hectares.

Pian dei Prati - Sasso Simone:
the itinerary starts from the faunistic area present in the area and reaches the plateau of Sasso Simone, on which it is possible to glimpse the ruins of the town Fortezza built by Cosimo I del Medici in the XVI century.

Pietrarubbia - Cappuccini Bridge - Monte Boaggine - Monte Carpegna:
starting from the ancient village of Pietrarubbia we arrive through an ancient path up to the remains of the tower of Monte Boaggine, recently restored, to reach the Monte Carpegna.
